3 Potent Strategies to Achieve BodyMindSpiritSoul Liberation, Part 2

by | Mar 4, 2025 | Evolution, Health, Inspire

In our first article, we focused on the body! Now, let us review empowering and useful practices for the mind!

Your health is the sum total of all the impulses, positive and negative, emanating from your consciousness. You are what you think.” – Deepak Chopra

“No limit is placed on you, only the limits of your mind. Free your mind and know that your possibilities are truly unlimited!” – Elder Harriet Tubman Wright

Mindset Tools and Tips

An affirmation is a helpful tool that can help you to shift your beliefs and attitudes. It is a positive state or judgment that reinforces a strong belief. Consciously repeating an affirmation aloud two or three times per day for several weeks can help you release limiting beliefs, and replace them with positive, empowering beliefs.

For example,

“I am healthy, whole and holy.”
“I claim and accept perfect health and well-being here and now.”
“I am a vessel of peace and serenity.”

Affirmative Prayer is another tool that can be used to shift your attitude and energy. Now create and repeat your own affirmations to support the positive changes that you want to make!

Tip #1: Accept change as a positive opportunity, not as a threat. Look for the good in it! Although we are going through a very intense process of change, that can be viewed as good, bad, or ugly, what do you think and how do you feel about it?

In terms of personal changes in your life, how are you dealing with it?

  • Sticking your head in the sand, hoping it will go away?
  • Fighting and resisting in an effort to hold onto what is familiar and secure?
  • Praying and meditating about it?
  • Feeling depressed, overwhelmed or just confused about what you can do?
Tip #2: Don’t worry about what you can’t control, such as the weather, traffic or your boss.

“While situations, encounters or events may seem intrinsically ‘stressful,’ it is truly how an individual perceives and reacts to an event that determines whether or not the stress response is activated.” – Institute of HeartMath

Even though you can’t control what is happening, you can control your response to it. For example:

  • Seek a win-win solution.
  • How might you choose to respond to weather, traffic or your boss from an empowered place of calmness, courage and compassion?
  • Could you diffuse a potentially dangerous situation by simply shifting your attitude?
  • In what ways can you reduce or release stress in a challenging situation or environment?

What do I do to cope, relax and keep it moving? I spend quality time in my front yard garden and soon will be pulling lots of weeds in the backyard, with the intention of finally planting food. This is good physical, mental and spiritual exercise! I’ll keep you apprised of my progress and probably ask your advice when I’m challenged, stuck or tired!

Tip #3: Don’t take life so seriously. Lighten up and learn to laugh at yourself.

“Laughter is a tranquilizer with no side effects.” – Arnold Glasow

Simply put, laughter elevates your mood and makes you feel good. It’s contagious and can shift the energy of an entire group of people within minutes. Laugh away the stress!

“Don’t worry, be happy.” – Bobby McFerrin

Tip #4: Refrain from watching, reading or listening to mainstream news.

“When stress and worry dominate thinking; they affect the rhythm of the heart and the functioning of the stomach, intestines and liver. Directing the subconscious mind to take over and affirm peace, harmony and divine order can bring the physical being back into balance and harmony.” Rev. Dr. Patrick Cameron

From an empowered place of calmness, courage and compassion, create affirmations and say prayers that support you to:

  • See the good in change.
  • Respond calmly to a situation that you can’t control.
  • Experience more laughter, fun and joy!
Call to Action
