5 Anchors to Restore Equilibrium in Tumultuous Times – Part II

by | Oct 16, 2012 | Inspire, Lifestyle

Fully into Fall, moving forward beyond Anchor 1 – Practice Gratitude for the Journey and Anchor 2 – Prepare a Bold Prosperity Goal, let’s consider 3 additional anchors.

  1. Join with an Accountability Partner – When you make a commitment, its important to follow through and stay the course.  However, no matter how committed and serious you are, distractions and diversions abound.  When this happens, you can get off course, lose momentum or sometimes even quit.  Working with an Accountability Partner who can provide guidance and support, plus hold you to our commitment, can help you stay in integrity and stay the course.
  2.

  3. Maintain Spiritual Practices to Stay Grounded and Centered – Prayer, Meditation, Hatha Yoga and Tai Chi are practices that can easily be incorporated into your daily routine.  These anchors help you manage and minimize stress, and generate a greater sense of balance and harmony.  In spite of the demands on your time and energy, you can experience peace of mind when you make spiritual practices a priority.
  4.

  5. Connect with a Coach – Often overcoming an obstacle and accomplishing a new goal requires that you move beyond your comfort zone into new, sometimes scary territory.  This new place may feel uncomfortable and unfamiliar, and thus challenging to navigate.  This may be the time to call on a coach or mentor who can help you explore options, strategies and resources that you may not be aware of.  A coach or mentor can provide guidance and companion you through the new terrain, so that you’re not alone fulfilling your intentions and achieving your dreams.
  6.

As you look toward the final weeks of 2012:

    • Assess what’s working and what needs improvement
    • Relook at your priorities and adjust as appropriate
    • Determine what you must complete and get support to get it done!
