Modifying Our Movement from Resistance to Revolution
For quite some time, I’ve been concerned about ‘resistance efforts’, primarily sparked by what has become daily assaults from Agent Orange 45. Even though ongoing resistance activities, such as petitions, marches and protests, have galvanized people who might not otherwise be as actively or financially involved, the results of the resistance efforts may not currently be as fruitful as desired, although mid-term election wins are encouraging. However, we may still feel restless or discouraged.
On a metaphysical level, “What you resist persists.” – Carl Jung
“Whatever you fight, you strengthen, and what you resist, persists.” – Eckhart Tolle
Why is this? When we resist, we tend to keep our consciousness and energy focused on the problem or “evil” we want to stop or end. We may confront, oppose, battle. However, the energy of resistance is gripping, clenching, hardening, increasing tension in the mind and body, sometimes leading to frustration and fatigue, perhaps even burnout.
Your thoughts create your reality. Your reality is the result of your thoughts.
Therefore, I’m focusing my thoughts and energy on affirming, claiming, envisioning and manifesting what I want. Not only is this perspective and practice fueling a more creative, visionary flow, it just feels better, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
“Where your energy flows your reality goes.”
I want a positive change, innovation, conversion, transformation, revolution. Revolution is a complete change, fundamental change, radical change. The real revolution begins in the heart with courage, compassion, connection and community to build the new now, with others of like-heart.
“The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but building the new.” – Socrates
In what ways are you coping with and or transmuting the dark deeds of this time?
- What must you let go, shift and heal?
- How are you choosing to attract, experience, manifest what you most desire in your life, your work, community?
- What is your highest vision of a world enveloped and fueled by love and light?
“Creators of WORLDS are not trying to fix problems. Creators of worlds identify what is not wanted for a split second, and then imagine and feel what is wanted for eternity.”
– Abraham Hicks, The Law of Attraction
In this moment, I invite you to be still and silent. Breathe in deeply, breathe out slowly. Then allow what is wanted for eternity to emerge from your heart and soul. If you’re willing, please share in comments section below or in return email. We can undergird the revolution with a shared commitment to manifest our hest and best for the world, in the world.
“Take conscious, heart-felt action now, as if your life depends on it, because in fact, your life and the life of the planet depend on it.” – Harriet Tubman Wright

This is such a great point, Harriet. What we focus on persists. I like your plea that we each focus on betterment in our respective worlds so this can grow and we can grow beyond the damage he is inflicting.
Thank you CJ. We can each make a difference in our work, our communities…and definitely attract like-hearted others to transform the mindset that transforms the results.
Thanks Harriet, This is so good for me this morning.although I have been teaching this stuff for years. I seem to forget it when I am dealing with my own personal life. Thank you for being you.R
Thank you Rev E. These principles and practices are a life-time journey. I give thanks each evening to grow through the lessons and maintain the high watch!
Totally agree Harriet and it’s a good reminder we can’t ignore issues or problems but do need to ‘identify what is not wanted…for a split second’ whereas pushing against means concentrated, continual thought and effort.
I like what Mother Teresa said “I will never attend an anti-war rally; if you have a peace rally, invite me.”
